SATs 2025
In 2025, the KS2 SATs will take place between Monday 12th May 2025 – Thursday 15th May 2025. Over this period pupils will sit six different tests, with English normally taking place at the beginning of the week and maths at the end.

English
The Literacy Shed
At school, lots of our English work is based on our whole class texts. We also use visual literacy as an exciting stimulus for writing. The Literacy Shed is an encyclopedia of film clips and music videos, which will provide your child with nourishment for their writing. Simply click on 'The Literacy Shed', select a 'shed' and choose a video. Each video comes with ideas for writing as well as question prompts.
SPaG
BBC Bitesize - SPaG
BBC Bitesize offers a selection of videos and mini tasks which explain everything your child will need to know about SPaG. Click on the web link below.
Anchor Creative Education
Anchor Creative Education are an organisation which help children to learn through the use of Performing Arts. Below is a link to their Youtube channel, which has an array of songs to help your child remember their grammar.

Maths
My Mini Maths
My Mini Maths offers a variety of arithmetic questions as well as tasks which are linked to the objectives from the National Curriculum. To access the arithmetic questions, simply click the tab 'Year 6 Arithmetic Practice Papers'. For the tasks related to the curriculum objectives, select the tab 'Mini Maths Tasks'. Choose your appropriate year group. There are also extra challenges under the 'Year 6 to 7 Transition'.
BBC Bitesize - Maths
This website has links to all of the Maths units, which are covered in Year 6. There are video clips as well as mini tasks for each unit.
